Yeruá 5071, La Paternal

In the neighborhood of La Paternal, an event that highlighted art and community collaboration took place: La Gran Paternal. This event serves as a space for gathering and celebrating neighborhood identity through art.

La Gran Paternal is a self-managed and independent network of visual artists who carry out their work in this neighborhood. The network focuses on strengthening collaborative and community ties, a politico-affective identity that fills its members and the residents of La Paternal with pride.

This event has been declared of Cultural Interest by the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, a well-deserved recognition for an initiative that not only beautifies the neighborhood but also strengthens the social fabric through art.

Last night, during my visit, I had the opportunity to explore several studios, each offering a unique perspective on the creative process and the passion of their artists. In this new section, I share a series of photographs taken at Yerua Taller: a space that stands out for its community of artists and its commitment to collective creativity. This studio brings together a diverse group of talents, including Hernán Salamanco, Juan Sorrentino, Francisco Olivero, María Elisa Luna, Alberto Sassani, Alejandra Tierno, Mariana Poggio, Guillermo Mena, Carolina Cuervo, Silvana Muscio, Verónica Romano, and Celina Baldasarre.

At Yerua Taller, collaboration and creative energy are palpable. The works, in various stages of development, fill the space with a variety of forms, colors, and concepts that invite reflection and admiration. The space is constantly reconfigured by the artists, who have found not only coworkers but also accomplices in the creative process. The studio reflects a balanced and collaborative ecosystem, where coexistence is nurtured by constant exchanges, creating a continuous and enriching dialogue. These images aim to document the art and energy of the community that make La Gran Paternal such a special event.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to the artists of Yerua Taller for their good vibes and for being wonderful hosts. Their hospitality and willingness to share their spaces and creative processes were invaluable. They allowed us to get close to that private intimacy that usually remains behind the scenes. It is a privilege to witness the birth and development of their works in their natural environment. Thank you for opening your doors and your hearts!
